TL;DR

Closing your BlastBet account is permanent and is handled by support — there is no self-serve close button in the interface. Withdraw your balance, finish or forfeit any active bonus, then message support via the Crisp chat widget on the site or email support@blastbet.com from the address tied to your account. Once support confirms, your login is disabled, your profile is hidden, and marketing stops. KYC records are kept for the regulatory retention period (typically 5–7 years) — that is a legal requirement, not a choice. If you just need a break, self-exclusion is reversible; closure is not.

When closing is the right call

Closure is right when you are done with BlastBet for good. If any of the following sounds closer to your situation, there is a lighter option:

  • You want a break, not an exit. Use self-exclusion or a cooling-off period instead — see Responsible gambling tools and self-exclusion.
  • You are tired of emails. Open Profile and switch off marketing communications. Login and play stay available.
  • You forgot your password. Use the password reset flow on the sign-in page.
  • You suspect your account is compromised. Contact support first to lock the account, then decide on closure once it is secured.

How to request closure

  1. Withdraw your balance. Any positive balance left in a closed account requires manual support intervention to release — it is much quicker to withdraw first.
  2. Settle bonuses. Active bonuses are forfeited at closure. Complete the wager or cancel the bonus before requesting closure.
  3. Clear pending withdrawals. Let in-flight withdrawals finish so you can confirm the funds landed.
  4. Message support. Open the Crisp chat widget on the site (bottom-right) or email support@blastbet.com from the address tied to your account. State that you want to close your account.
  5. Answer follow-up checks. Support may ask you to confirm identity or the reason for closing — reply from the same email or chat session.
  6. Wait for confirmation. Support disables login and hides your profile. You will receive a confirmation message once closure is complete.

What happens to your data and balance

ItemWhat happens at closure
Login and profileDisabled and hidden from the UI
Marketing emailsStopped immediately
Positive balanceHeld until support manually releases it
Active bonusForfeited (bonus balance and any pending winnings)
KYC documentsRetained for the regulatory period (typically 5–7 years)
Transaction historyRetained for AML and tax reporting obligations

GDPR and data deletion

Closing your account is not the same as deleting your data. Under our Anjouan licence and anti-money-laundering rules, we must keep KYC records and transaction history for a defined retention period — typically 5 to 7 years — even after closure.

If you want a full data deletion request under GDPR or another applicable privacy law, contact support and ask for a privacy / data deletion request. We process requests within 30 days where legally permitted. Records that we are required by law to retain (KYC, transactions, AML logs) can only be deleted after the retention period ends.

Watchouts

  • Closure is final. You cannot reactivate a closed account. A new registration is possible but goes through standard duplicate-account and KYC checks.
  • Withdraw first. Requesting closure with a positive balance triggers a manual review and slows things down.
  • Active bonuses are forfeited. That includes bonus balance and any winnings still in wager.
  • Use the right channel. Crisp chat (in-site) and email support@blastbet.com are the only valid closure channels. Closure requests via social DMs are redirected back to chat or email.
  • Email must match your account. Closure requests sent from a different email cannot be processed for security reasons.
  • Compromised account? Lock the account with support before requesting closure so any disputes can still be tracked.
  • Self-exclusion is separate and reversible at term — use it if you only need time away.
